PARENTAL CONSENT
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Congratulations on having raised a daughter who is confident, outgoing and dedicated to self-improvement and personal achievement! What follows is a parental information and consent document which explains the purpose of the Miss Teen Labrador Achievement Pageant, how the winner will be selected, and what will be expected of her. If you require further clarification, please contact us.
The purpose of the Miss Teen Labrador Achievement Pageant is to encourage young women to challenge themselves to be the best that they can be through a process of friendly competition. The pageant is held to select a representative from the Labrador region to compete at the annual Miss Teen Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Scholarship Program.
During the regional competition, your daughter will be judged in the following categories: Interview, Platform Speech, Onstage Introduction, Evening Wear and Impromptu Question. The contestant receiving the highest overall score will be named the winner. The decision of the judges is final.
If crowned Miss Teen Labrador Achievement, your daughter will be encouraged to represent the region at the Miss Teen Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Scholarship Program in St. John's. As a not-for-profit organization, the Miss Teen Labrador Achievement Pageant Committee used funds raised through entry fees to pay the registration fee for your daughter to attend the provincial pageant and to also help her with expenses. Transportation to the provincial pageant for the winner and her chaperone will be provided through sponsorships from the business community.
Please read the following and sign below:
(This document must accompany your daughter’s $75.00 application fee and supporting entry documents.)
I understand that an entry fee of $75.00 must be paid to the pageant committee prior to any contestant being permitted to participate in pageant activities.
I affirm that I have read, understand, accept and agree to abide by all of the rules and regulations set forth above.
